Wonderments
Do you ever question things that happen at work? If you are like me, then you have several pet peeves and wonderments. Here are a few:
-Why do accountants always seem to have about thirty different pens and pencils in
their desk when you know they always use the same one over and over?
-Why does the printer always print a test page as soon as the printer turns on? I want
something to tell me when it will not or cannot printnot the other way around. Can
you imagine how much paper we could save if these daily "print tests" were
stopped--not to mention how many ink cartridges I could have saved.
-Why is it that my phone clock never agrees with the clock on my computer?
-Why do I always seem to lose my dollar in the vending machine whenever the vending stocker is not around? By the way, I wonder how much those vending companies make off of poor, caffeine-driven, sugar-addicted people like me who lose their chump change in the machines? I am sure we could feed a small nation by now. Furthermore, I wonder how people survived before vending machines. I mean, a banana or apple can only last so long.
-Why do I have to work in a profession where televisions and/or regular doughnut stops are not part of the job description?
-Why do holidays always seem to fall on either a Monday or a Friday? I mean, if I were to choose a day to have off, I would want it during the weeklike hump day (Wednesday). Who decides this stuff anyway?
-Why do people always send me e-mails that have an attachment that I can never open because my computer is missing the program called @##!%!$$.exe to run it?
-What did accountants do before post-it notes? I think modern history should be classified as BP (before post-its) and AP (after post-its).
