DESCRIPTION:  Fund Accountant 

Job Summary:

This position will report to CTC’s Chief Operating Officer (when hired) with a possible dotted line report to CTC’s Director of Research.  The Fund Accountant is responsible for the day to day operating activities for CTC’s  products in the hedge fund, private markets and traditional area. 

Job Relationships:

Reports to: CTC Chief Operating Officer/Director of Research

Management responsibilities: N/A 

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with custodians, administrators, outsourced solutions partners and portfolio managers v Cash activities.

r     Incoming and outgoing investments by LPs

r     Subscription and redemption into underlying funds

r     Capital calls and distributions

r     Fund expenses

r     Coordination with portfolio management teams to make/redeem investments v subscription documents and activities

r     Document dissemination and record keeping    

r     AML

r     Qualification 

Review monthly financial statements prepared by administrators  

Manage relationships with audit providers, tax providers, administrators and custodians.  

Coordinate information and review financial statements in conjunction with year-end audit and tax preparation.  

Coordinate with CTC Private Markets group to maintain estimated call schedules.  Prepare and coordinate notices to underlying LPs and partner firms.  

Calculate and provide early performance estimates for CTC funds to provide to partners.  

Reconcile estimates to final performance calculated by administrators.  Liaise with partners to provide estimated and actual capital balance.  

Maintain liquidity schedules of underlying investments and communicate with portfolio management groups. 

Requirements: 

Possess at least 4-7 years of relevant experience with a fund management firm or accounting/auditing of fund management companies

Accounting degree  

Certified Public Accountant designation  

Strong organizational skills  

Strong communication skills  

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
