DESCRIPTION: Accountant / Senior Accountant 

Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc., headquartered in Cleveland, OH, is North America's largest producer of iron ore pellets and a leading supplier of metallurgical coal to the global steelmaking industry. The majority of our customers are integrated steel companies located within the U.S. and Canada. Right now, we're looking for experienced accounting professionals who want to be part of a growing company with eyes on the future.  

In these positions, you'll be responsible for:

·         Reporting and analyzing financial results of the company

·         Preparing financial statements, consolidated statements and schedules

·         Making recommendations based on financial records and data

·         Reviewing and verifying accuracy and completeness of reported data

·         Assisting mine accounting and corporate office personnel in financial matters

·         Collaborating with officers, department heads, public accountants, actuaries, insurance providers and vendors

·         Maintaining general ledger, accounts payable, allocation, fixed asset and check writing systems 

To qualify, you must have:

·         Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

·         ACCOUNTANT: 1-3 year's experience

·         SENIOR ACCOUNTANT: 3+ years' experience

·         Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and reporting methods
