DESCRIPTION: Finance Manager, Corporate Accounting

Description:
Manage/Supervise one full time staff and (one temporary staff on certain allocated tasks -elimination of I/C Income and Expense see below).
Monthly closing entries - Interest on loans, AH FAS52 entries, etc
Monthly analysis of Latin America/Far East proforma P & L for Animal Health COGS and propose PE and FAS52 entries
Monthly Reconcile and eliminate I/C Dividends
Monthly aid to Reconciliation process/review of I/C Income and Expense, Interest Income/Expense eliminations.
Monthly - Review of Staff Standard Journal vouchers, recurring entries, monthly analysis.
Items Consumed for Animal Health markets - 5 times a year
Review of all Subsystems Interfaces into FRS GL - done by full time staff.
Prepare Quarterly BS commentary and review staff commentary.
Review Netting payment between Schering Corp I/C and foreign affiliates.
Aid in preparing analyses of A/R Reserves, DSO, Aging schedules for Quarterly/Monthly A/R commentary.
USA Webform for 4316 Foreign currency exposure analysis
Review of I/C balances on Rec/Pay for inter and intra relationships.
Annual Tax entries
Monthly File
The above tasks can be split between 2 managers, with one as the primary and one as the back-up, for cross training.
Qualifications:
BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required; MBA or CPA preferred; 7-10 years financial experience in related fields, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
