DESCRIPTION: Senior Auditor II

The New York Power Authority (NYPA), America’s largest state-owned, public power enterprise, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Auditor to work in our White Plains, NY office.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing preliminary audit plans and developing risk assessment, audit scope and procedures; reviewing and documenting procedures as well as transaction flows; executing audit programs and procedures; reviewing audit findings and recommendations with management; and preparing audit work papers and reports.  

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline. At least 5 years of auditing experience with a major CPA firm and/or private company is preferred. A CPA, CIA and/or MBA is desired. Familiarity with electric utility industry and SAP is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, multi-tasking, planning, leadership, collaboration, decision making, verbal and written communication skills are required. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, is required.
