DESCRIPTION: Jacuzzi Brands, Corp., through its operating subsidiaries, is a leading global producer of branded whirlpool baths, showers, sanitary ware (sinks and toilets), bathtubs, and portable spas for the domestic and international construction and remodeling markets. These products are sold under the famous JACUZZI® brand name as well as other widely recognized brands. We are currently seeking a Director of Accounting-Shared Services for our Corporate Headquarters located in Chino, CA.

This position will report to the Vice President North America Finance

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide technical and administrative leadership for general accounting, payroll, billing and accounts payable personnel. Oversee the preparation of required financials; maintain integrity of financial reporting systems and provide analytical support regarding financial statements and general ledger. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

·         Plan, organize and coordinate all activities of the general accounting function to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of all financial results for organization.

·         Plan, organize and coordinate all activities within the payroll department to ensure the accurate and timely processing and disbursement of company payroll.

·         Plan, organize and coordinate all activities of the billing process to ensure the accurate and timely processing and invoicing of all worksheets received from the field work force. Includes coordinating all special programs and invoicing options through interaction with sales/marketing, operations and customer accounts payable personnel

·         Plan, organize and coordinate all activities of the accounts payable function to ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices while optimizing the liability management function as it relates to the enhancement of results.

·         Ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data.

·         Monitor the financial systems for identification and recommendation of procedural and processing improvements required for operational support and customer service.

·         Enhance customer service through the implementation of reporting and processing improvements as well as promotion of service oriented approach within all functional responsibilities.

·         Plan, organize and coordinate all activities within the tax function to ensure accurate and timely reporting of franchise and personal property returns as well as provide required information to corporate tax personnel for preparation of the consolidated federal tax return.

·         Review all financial statements with Controller. Provide explanation of all variances.

·         Supervise the analysis of all financial statements for the organization.

·         Prepare monthly 90 day forecast and YTD projections as required for corporate consolidation.

·         Plan, organize and coordinate the year‑end close process through interaction with corporate accounting and outside audit firm personnel.

·         Conduct and report results of all special projects assigned by Controller and/or self initiative on a timely basis along with proper conclusions and recommendations.

·         Receive and resolve inquiries from all Managers regarding monthly financial results.
 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES     

·         Proven leadership experience required.

·         Strong at execution, follow-up and attention to detail

·         Solid background in payroll processes and procedures. Ceridian experience a plus.

·         Energetic go-getter with new ideas

·         Detailed financial analysis of financial statements.

·         Comfortable working at a fast pace

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree with accounting major or related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting.
