DESCRIPTION: Senior Accountant

The Doe Fund is a leading New York City non-profit organization that operates the enormously popular and highly visible Ready, Willing & Able program, whose participants clean over 160 miles of streets and sidewalks every day.  With a $50 million budget, over 400 staff members and 46,000 individual donors, The Doe Fund is nationally acclaimed as a work-based model for solving homelessness and criminal recidivism. We empower people to break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency, substance abuse, and incarceration through innovative work and housing programs. 

This position provides a unique opportunity to leverage your Lawson ERP experience and accounting expertise to serve a dual function role of Lawson Maintenance Specialist and Senior Accountant.

 Responsibilities:

• Help and troubleshoot Lawson functional issues for end-users.

• Oversee and perform finance functions including journal entries, financial analysis, allocations and reconciliations.

• Assist with monthly close.

• Prepare reports and analysis for auditors.

• Liaise with Program and Operations.

• Report directly to Director of Finance.      

• Minimum 2 years hands on Lawson experience is a MUST.

• BS in Accounting - CPA a plus.

• 4+ years public or private accounting experience.

• Management, problem solving and analytical skills.

• Proficient in Excel; Crystal Reports a plus.

The salary range for this position is $60,000- $65,000
