DESCRIPTION:  Financial Performance Reporting Consultant

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

*Work with Information Management partner and Financial Performance Analysis resources to ensure the integrity of financial data resident within the EDW FRED Datamart

*Identify and resolve data inconsistencies between various data repositories and financial applications to include the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Corporate Performance Management system and Actuarial forecasting tool

*Oversee change management activities on behalf of the forecasting and reporting team in response to business developments (e.g., new product introduction, market segment definition changes, business rule changes, reporting requirement modifications)

*Conduct detailed review of monthly financial performance reporting deliverables to include leadership presentations; develop messaging to support financial performance reporting

*Moderate to heavy keying required

Job Requirements:

*Bachelors degree in business or math discipline

*4+ years of financial report preparation, financial analysis, and research experience

*Experience extracting and manipulating data from an information management database

*Strong working knowledge of health insurance industry and products

*Strong experience working with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

*Strong problem-solving skills to identify root cause and impacts of financial business rule issues

Business Specific Criteria (preferred skills):

*Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

*C.P.A. certification

*Master's degree in business or healthcare administration

*Experience with general ledger applications (e.g. PeopleSoft)

*Experience with report/query writing capabilities (e.g. PeopleSoft nVision)

*Significant user experience with the BCBSF Enterprise Data Warehouse
