DESCRIPTION:  MANAGER OF GENERAL ACCOUNTING

MetroBus vehicles, and Metro Call-A-Ride paratransit vans. We also own and operate the Gateway Arch Transportation System, Ticketing and Reservation Center, the Arch Parking Garage, the Gateway Arch Riverboats, and the St. Louis

Downtown Airport in Cahokia/Sauget, Illinois. 

As we continue to achieve great things, we are looking for great people to come along for the ride. Currently, we seek a Manager of General Accounting to join us. 

Duties include:

·         Furnishing accurate, timely financial and ad hoc reports for both internal and external customers

·         Hiring, training, and supervising a staff of eight professionals

·         Ensuring all major changes to our general ledger, A/P, payroll, purchasing, and materials systems are appropriately documented

·         Planning for changes in our business environment, federal regulations, and new accounting pronouncements

·         Reviewing all requests for new information by senior management

·         Ensuring the complete accuracy of all financial information reported 

Qualifications include:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration

·         10+ years' accounting experience

·         In-depth knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and GASB

·         Expertise in financial management policies and procedures

·         Knowledge of funding policies and conditions of government funding sources

·         Strong analytical, budgeting, communication, and PC skills

·         MBA and/or CPA preferred
