Job Summary

We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst (Federal) located at our corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ.  

Job Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for Tax Compliance, Audits and Research. Your specific responsibilities will include the following:  

Compliance:

• Review of divisional and subsidiary tax packages and preparation of proforma income tax returns (requires familiarity with tax return preparation software packages)  

• Support the preparation of FAS 109 and other financial information required for the various financial statements issued by the Company  

• Maintain detailed analysis of tax accounts for financial control and reporting purposes

• Special projects, as assigned, utilizing tax, accounting and computer knowledge

Audits:

• Support/participate in the process of conducting federal tax audits within management guidelines

• Efficiently manage the flow of information between the affiliates and the auditor

Research:

• Research tax positions to ensure that the Company is in compliance with the various tax laws while minimizing tax liabilities  

The Senior Tax Analyst will work with the Manager of Federal Tax and Financial Reporting on external reporting under FAS 109. He/She will also work closely with the federal and international tax staff members to ensure compliance with all tax rules and regulations while minimizing the corporation's tax liability. He/She will also support the preparation of responses to IRS questions.  

Basic Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a BA/BS in Accounting and a total of 5-10 years of professional tax experience with concentration in federal compliance and tax accounting (3-4 years of the successful candidate's total experience will have been acquired via employment in another large corporation and/or large public accounting firm). A CPA and/or MBA/MS in Taxation is preferred.

• Strong computer skills are preferred (Excel, Word, Hyperion, Tax Stream, Fast Tax)
