DESCRIPTION:  Position title:  Sr. Financial Analyst - Stock Based Compensation.

We currently have a career opportunity in our Corporate Accounting Department at our Madison, NJ headquarters for a Senior Financial Analyst. 

In this position you will be responsible for:  

• Calculating the Long Term Incentive (LTI) compensation activity and preparing related journal entries (monthly).

• Calculating expense forecast related to LTI and Deferred Compensation Plans.

• Producing the reporting data required for internal/external reporting requirements (quarterly and annually).

• Reviewing new and proposed accounting pronouncements and the latest technical developments of the FASB, SEC, EITF, IRS. You will also be responsible for assessing their impact to Wyeth.

• Interfacing across multiple disciplines within Wyeth (accounting, consolidations, forecasting, tax, information systems) and the external audit group, to analyze procedures and implement best practices for consistent reporting.

• Maintaining current and planned procedural documentation including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures.

• Interfacing with an external software vendor and assisting in a project to streamline and mechanize reporting.

• Future assignment may include other aspects of accounting including deferred compensation, supplemental retirement plans, and analysis of reserves for other employee/non-employee plans. 

Successful candidates will possess:

• BS in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA certification.

• 2-5 years of related work experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting processes.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

• Ability to research ideas and develop and communicate an action plan.

• Ability to communicate with all levels of management. 

Any of the following would be an asset:

• Experience in a public accounting role.

• An MBA.

• Knowledge of Hyperion and/or SAP.

• Previous systems requirement development from a user perspective and cutover experience is also desirable.
