Job Requirements:
The successful candidate must demonstrate a working understanding of
overhead and underground distribution systems and processes. Demonstrated
ability to read and understand construction drawings and other types of
construction maps. Must demonstrate the experience and ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated effective interpersonal
skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are
required. This position requires a minimum of three to five years of
general working knowledge of the Companys accounting and reporting systems.
Additionally, the position requires three to five years performing detailed
analyses. Most of the projects associated with the military and cities
require coordination with third parties. The analyst must demonstrate the
ability to coordinate such activities in a proficient manner. Must be
proficient in Microsoft Access. Must be proficient in MS Office
applications, particularly Excel,Word and Power Point. Bachelor Degree in
Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education,
training and experience.
Preferences:
Demonstrated experience in planning activities, work order preparation and
closing, unit of property accounting and added facilities policies and
procedures. Broad knowledge of SCEs financial and accounting systems and
procedures. Experience in work order accounting and related automated
systems and databases. Ability to navigate within the TPX system and access
Corporate Accounting and Reporting System (CARS), MMSM, DPIM data files and
reports. Ability to integrate data with various reporting tools for
studies. Basic understanding of accounting principles including the
preparation of journal entries and account analysis.
Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will report to the Valuation Services Manager and
will assist in developing the fair value of utility property proposed for
sales, purchases or transfer through condemnation proceedings and prepare
reports based on those findings and conclusions. Develop field inventory
data in conjunction with the above in a team environment. Perform special
cost-of- service studies, added/interconnection facilities capital cost
analyses, ISO and WDAT capital costs, insurance values and various other
studies. The primary purpose of this position is to analyze project
objectives of business units and provide the necessary data to meet those
objectives. Additionally, this position is to ensure that all requirements
regarding the data for valuation studies are met timely and accurately.
