DESCRIPTION:  Blanchard Valley Health System is the non-profit parent corporation of an integrated regional health system based in Findlay, a unique micropolitan community located in Northwest Ohio. Governed by a community board of trustees representing large and small business, education, law, medicine and finance, the Board oversees the operations of the system. We are one of the largest employers in the area with 1,500+ associates and serves an eight-county area which includes Hancock, Allen, Putnam, Henry, Wood, Seneca, Wyandot, and Hardin Counties. We are currently seeking a Director of Finance. 

The role of the Director of Finance is to develop, organize, implement, and direct the activities of the finance function in accordance with current federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations that govern the System. This position will also assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our patients in a cost effective manner. Other key elements include but are not limited to:

• Treasury Management
• Direct the accounting function
• Oversight of internal & external financial reporting
• Accountable for financial aspects of defined benefit pension & self insured malpractice programs

This position requires:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting; CPA preferred; advanced degree preferred
• Three years experience in a supervisory capacity in hospital financial administration, or any combination of experience or training which would provide the knowledge required by this position
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to health care administration
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
