Sr. Manager International Tax 

Responsible for tax compliance, research, and planning related to international operations of Target Corporation and affiliates. Studies Corporation plans and activities as well as current and proposed tax laws to minimize the level of taxes paid. Other duties as assigned by Director, Income Tax.

– Directly managing all foreign compliance work so that such filings are undertaken and completed on a timely and accurate basis. 

– Acting as key advisor for all international tax audits to senior leadership. 

– Managing foreign income tax audits. 

– Assisting with international aspects of income tax provision and footnote preparation. 

– Assisting in the development of tax planning strategies and due diligence. 

– Conducting transfer-pricing reviews to ensure reasonableness. 

– Maintaining supporting documentation and explanation of all major transactions. 

– Assisting with international issues of U.S. income tax audits by providing tax research and helping to defend company transactions that are challenged. 

– Minimizing Subpart F income by appropriately structuring foreign activities. 

– Consulting with appropriate departments regarding FAS 109 impacts of proposed transactions. 

– Maintaining a current foreign tax calendar. 

– Helping manage tax consultants and control fees. 

– Researching and staying abreast of changes in tax accounting, laws, rulings, and regulations.  

Minimum Requirements: Degree in accounting or related area. Eight to twelve years tax experience in tax practice with a national public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporation tax department or with the IRS. Must have significant experience in international tax compliance and planning. Strong leadership, communication, organization and accounting skills. Must be influential. 

Desired Requirements: CPA. Masters in Taxation.
