Sony Pictures Entertainment is a leading creator and distributor of entertainment products, services and technology. Our global operations encompass motion picture production and distribution, television programming and syndication, home video acquisitions and distribution, operation of studio facilities, development of new entertainment technologies and distribution of filmed entertainment in over 67 countries.

The Manager is responsible for the financial reporting processes for Sony Pictures Animation.  This includes monthly flash and actual reporting requirements, monthly Sr. Management book and cash flow analysis.  The manager will also assist with the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and annual mid-range plan.  The position will also be responsible for overhead, capital and project pipeline reporting.  Manager role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills as position has heavy interaction with SPE Motion Picture Group, Corporate Finance as well internal Sony Pictures Animation operational management.

Responsibilities include:

*  Coordinate monthly flash, actual reporting, and Sr. Management Book
*  Analyze financial statements, cash flow and detailed balance sheet reviews
*  Analyze and report monthly overhead
*  Monitor and report capital projects
*  Assist with film ultimates analysis including film amortization
*  Assist Annual budget, quarterly forecasts, mid-range plans and strategic plans
*  Manage SPA accounts payable/Ariba processes and related reconciliations
*  Reconcile and ensure labor allocations to productions post accurately and reconcile film inventory subledger
*  Assist in CG feature animation competitor analysis reporting
*  Liaise with SPE divisions including Domestic and International Theatrical, Home Entertainment, Television, Worldwide Distribution, Marketing and Corporate shared services for actual and forecast reporting
*  Developing financial models as necessary to support operations
*  Special projects as required
     
Job Requirements:

*  B.S. - Finance or Accounting degree.
*  CPA and/or MBA preferred
*  A min. of 6+ years work experience
*  Excellent management, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
*  Excellent Excel skills and database experience required (SAP experience a plus)
*  Excellent organizational skills required
*  Entertainment or related industry experience preferred
*  Ability to manage multiple projects
*  Self-motivated team player
