DESCRIPTION:  Senior Financial Analyst

Sony Pictures Entertainment is a leading creator and distributor of entertainment products, services and technology. Our global operations encompass motion picture production and distribution, television programming and syndication, home video acquisitions and distribution, operation of studio facilities, development of new entertainment technologies and distribution of filmed entertainment in over 67 countries.

Duties Include:

* Responsibilities include financial and management analysis, budgeting and forecasting and other operational finance activities as identified
* Review, analyze and confirm Inter-company balances.
* Responsible for monthly Corporate reporting including profit/loss, cash flow, and balance sheet.
* Monitor, review and analyze territory monthly financial packages and prepare required reconciliations and adjustments.
* Prepare monthly consolidation, monthly flash reports, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, annual mid-range plan and ad hoc management reporting.
* Liase with local territory staff.
* Responsible for account analysis and reconciliation's and monthly journal entries
* G&A analysis.
* Variance analysis vs. budgets and forecasts.
* Assist Management with Corporate special requests.
* Work with IT to troubleshoot and resolve system problems.

Requirements:

B.S. degree required, Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent project management, organizational, decision-making and problem solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and meet all deadlines.
Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting and financial policies and principles.
Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Word, experience with SAP preferred.
A minimum of 2 - 4 years public/or private accounting required (Entertainment preferred).
