DESCRIPTION: Audit Manager -Financial

Overview:

The Staff Auditor-Finance is responsible for performing procedure and analysis as part of financial internal audits assessing the quality of earnings, accuracy of financial statements, quality of internal controls, and risk profile of an OpCo. Perform operational audits, Sarbanes-Oxley reviews and special projects as requested.

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of a project manager or lead senior, perform the following procedures:
Assessment of quality of earnings. Determination of whether financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and finance policies. An evaluation of an OpCo’s system of internal controls and compliance with policies in accordance with Generally Accepted. Auditing Standards (GAAS), finance policies, Executive Policies, IT Policies, and any OpCo policies.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
MBA, desirable. CPA or CIA, highly desirable.
Special skills:
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and auditing standards. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and access; Exposure to manufacturing/consumer products a plus. 1 – 3 years of financial, accounting and/or internal/external audit experience. Willingness to travel within and outside of the United States up to 50%.

Preferred but not required:
Foreign language skills, especially Spanish, preferred.
