DESCRIPTION: Manager, Finance - Sony Pictures Television

Sony Pictures Entertainment is a leading creator and distributor of
entertainment products, services and technology. Our global operations
encompass motion picture production and distribution, television
programming and syndication, home video acquisitions and distribution,
operation of studio facilities, development of new entertainment
technologies and distribution of filmed entertainment in over 67 countries.

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) produces television programs for all markets
and day parts, and is a full-service domestic distributor.

The Manager is responsible for all aspects of budgeting and forecasting for
Sony Pictures Television (“SPT”).  The Manager also has responsibility for
understanding SPT accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and financial
reporting to facilitate efficient planning and business analysis efforts.

Accountabilities
·     Prepare and review financial budgets, forecasts, and multi-year
plans.
·     Maintain, create, and review TV Series and TV Movie Ultimate
Profitability estimates.
·     Read and understand TV Series and TV Movie license agreements,
     co-production agreements, distribution and agreements.
·     Assess financial impact of new venture or other agreements.
·     Assist with monthly flash reporting, including analysis of forecast
variances
·     Assist in variance analysis of actual results to forecasts and
budgets
·     Improve/streamline budgeting/forecasting processes.
·     Interact with Accounting and Financial Reporting Team to improve
     cross-training and availability of information.
·     Insure continued compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Experience:
·     Four-year accounting/business degree.
·     A minimum of Five+ years public and/or private accounting/finance
experience.
·     Advanced MS Excel capability.
·     CPA and/or MBA preferred, not required.
·     Entertainment experience preferred.

Skills:
·     Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
·     Operational finance experience preferred.
·     Strong initiative and ability to coordinate and manage multiple
projects.
·     Solid follow-through on all projects; ability to bring projects to
timely completion.
·     Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to
     coordinate timely information gathering from multiple sources.
·     Quality leadership skills and ability to set clear expectations, hold
     others accountable, and provide timely feedback and measurement of
     performance.
·     Ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
·     Advanced PC skills and excellent written communication skills.
