DESCRIPTION:  TAX MANAGER

FOX currently seeks a skilled leader to work in the Los Angeles office.

 In this role you will be responsible for supervising up to three staff people. You will be responsible for Fox Interactive Media Group (“FIM”), as well as other companies within the Fox Entertainment Group. FIM’s domestic and international operations include myspace.com, ign.com, and others. FIM is fast-paced, dynamic, and is expanding into many different countries. You will prepare and review federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns (separate and combined/consolidated) and partnership tax returns.

You will also prepare and review property, sales, business license, and other miscellaneous tax returns, as well as quarterly forecasts/estimates and year-end provision/extensions. You will respond to various taxing jurisdictions’ inquiries and identify, research, and resolve emerging tax issues as they arise. You will effectively use various tax programs utilized in the FOX Corporate Tax Department to perform assigned tasks (e.g., InSource, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Enterprise One, etc.).

You will assist the other Tax Department groups as needed (i.e., Tax Audit, Tax Planning & Research, and other Tax Compliance Group Leaders) and coordinate with the various FOX departments/divisions and News Corporation to obtain the required information for performing assigned tasks or responding to their inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Accounting with over 5 years relevant tax experience. CPA and MBT are highly preferred as well as experience in Public accounting/Big Four. Prior experience with corporations, partnerships, LLC’s, consolidated returns and multi-state returns are required. Although not required, prior experience with international tax, e-commerce, and sales and use tax would be a plus. You must demonstrate the ability to interact confidently with senior management and have prior experience effectively managing direct reports.
