DESCRIPTION:  Manager, Client Service Representatives (Administrators and Analysts)

Group Objective/ Purpose:

The Charles Schwab Trust Company (CSTC) provides trust and custody services for qualified retirement plans, primarily 401(k) plans.  CSTC serves Schwab's bundled retirement product, SchwabPlan, and is the industry leader in providing trading and custody services through independent Third Party Administrators.  Our goal is to provide excellent client service in a rapidly growing business.

 Job description:

Responsibilities: Manager of a team of Client Service Administrator and Analysts.  Ensure that policies and procedures are in compliance.  Develop and motivate direct reports.  Primary client contact for daily administration of trust accounts, including trade approval, cashiering, distributions. Complete trust reviews and meet other regulatory requirements, including risk mitigation. Primary contact for assigned Third Party Administrator (TPA) and plan relationships.  Monitor client service levels and frequently report satisfaction levels to management. Research and resolve problems and complaints. Participate as active member in project teams, drafting business requirements and participating in user acceptance testing. Cross-train to back up co-workers.  Continuous communication with internal departments such as Conversions, Operations, and Compliance.

Technical/ Functional Requirements:

 6+ years of experience with qualified retirement plans within the financial industry required.  Must have working knowledge of ERISA and regulatory environment governing retirement accounts, as well as excellent customer service and problem resolution skills. Outstanding communication skills and ability to organize and prioritize. Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, Access.  Must have the ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Management experience required. Infrequent travel may be required.
