We have an immediate opening for a qualified, self-motivated Consolidation Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team at our corporate headquarters in Norwalk, CT.  In this position, you’ll be responsible for the monthly close process, including data import/export between Excel, Hyperion Enterprise, and Upstream Weblink; and consolidating journal entries.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Verifying month-end reporting submissions
• Assisting with SG&A variance analysis by subsidiary
• Preparing internal financial statements and external subsidiary statements
• Providing footnote support for SEC filings
• Assisting with budget/forecast consolidation and reporting for all subsidiaries
• Assisting with retirement plan financial statements, tax returns, and extensions
• Acting as co-system administrator for all Hyperion applications and system maintenance
• Filing all U.S. Government census forms (i.e. Dept of Labor)
• Filing of unclaimed property forms

• Willingness to take advanced courses for computer skills

 Qualified candidates will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2-5 years of private/public company experience
• Experience with financial statement preparation, consolidations, and month-end closing procedures
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• PC/Excel skills; experience with Hyperion Enterprise reporting/consolidations and planning software helpful
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of financial statements
• Budgeting and planning experience helpful
• Ability to understand our business and relate to reported results
• Familiarity with public company reporting helpful
