We are currently looking for a qualified applicant to fill the position
of:
Financial Specialist – Accounts Payable – St. Louis
Description
Act as team leader of Accounts Payable analysis staff on vendor problems and inquiries.
Act as liaison between IT, Purchasing and vendor on set-up, testing and implementation
of electronic payments (ACH), electronic invoicing (EDI) and electronic receipts
settlement (ERS).
Administer corporate approval policy on invoice approval and disbursement requests for
all levels of management and contract personnel.
Administer corporate expense account policy, including proper approvals.
Consult with vendors on payment issues to enhance Ameren vendor relationships.
Review and approve new vendor set-up and changes to existing vendor information.
Act as liaison with Tax and Treasury on escheatment issues, procedures and policies.
Control costs and process improvement.
Mentor and instruct Accounts Payable staff on correct corporate policies, Accounts
Payable system application and controls required to keep Ameren "fraud free".
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university and a CPA,
MBA, or Master’s in Accounting required.
Three years or more experience with Accounts Payable processing.
Good computer, communication, analytical, leadership and human relations skills.
