Background:

We are an emerging management consulting firm specializing in designing and delivering productivity solutions to the financial services sector.  We present a leadership role for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager. As a fast paced, strong growth company we are seeking a Project Manager who will play an integral role in the execution of the company vision for long range growth.

Role/Purpose:

Project Managers play a leadership role in the analysis, design, development and implementation of innovative solutions to solve complex productivity issues for businesses.  While maintaining focus on quality deliverables, Project Managers effectively manage tasks related to consultancy projects, including proposal development, project planning and management, analysis, design and presentation preparation and delivery, as well as providing guidance and direction to senior level consultants.   They are expected to develop product, industry and experience knowledge and understanding thereby contributing to the improvement of the company’s intellectual capital

In performing the essential functions of this role, the work environment is fast-paced and team based.  Additionally, travel of 80% - 90% is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for project task deliverables, with high level of quality and customer satisfaction
• Manages all project tasks including client rep interviews, developing activity frameworks, collection and transformation of project data, model construction, documentation and all other research related to project success.
• Manages tasks to, or under timeline and budget requirements
• Perceived as a  subject matter expert in Demos programs and product offerings
• Perceived as subject matter expert in one or more facets of the Financial Services Industry
• Manages staff as part of project tasks
• Provides  quality assurance of project deliverables ensuring the incorporation of Demos and Industry best practices and the use of the collective subject matter expertise of the Demos practices.
• Participates in customer satisfaction and project post mortem audits
• Collaborates with other members of the firm to design new tools, methodologies and service offerings.

• Interview and recruit staff
• Identify training and skill gaps of staff
• Assist in the development of staff both formally and informally
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff through project activities and involving them in development work

• Supports the development of Demos Practice knowledge base
• Identifies and develops key tools, templates necessary for consultants to fulfill project deliverable
• Represents the company at road shows, exhibitions and conferences as a subject matter expert when requested
• Publishes articles, white papers, reports, case studies that add to Demos’ industry reputation and creditability in the marketplace.

MBA or other relevant post-graduate degree preferred

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 4 to 6years in Consulting in financial institution sector
Minimum of 4 years of Project Management
Experience in multiple project lifecycles from business development to final delivery
Excellent working knowledge of retail banking process and or financial services
Proposal writing expertise
Executive level presentation skills and communication capabilities
Proven track record of client relationship building
Proven record of developing consultant staff
Strong analytical skills
Asset Management and/or Finance knowledge
Process-mapping experience
